Recently, Zack Greinke of the Houston Astros, made a statement about no longer adding guacamole at Chipotle due to a modest price increase from $1.50 from $1.80 when ordering it as a topping.
Now listen, I’m not worth $120 million dollars like Zack, but I have to say I appreciate him standing up for something. If we continue to let Chipotle gradually increase the price of guacamole sensibility over the next few years, what will happen next? They charge for the tortilla on the side??? Pure madness.
But in all seriousness, I think this is what of the best things about Zack Greinke. From telling the opposing batter to what pitch is coming, or throwing a 54 mile per hour pitch, Zack is always entertaining both on and off the field.
Will I still order Guac at Chipotle? Absolutely, because I’m not a maniac. But I do understand where Grienke is coming from in his steadfast refusal to let Chipotle win on this one.
